Size is an important factor when buying a dog, as certain sizes may be more suitable for different families, lifestyles, and living situations! Even if you already have a Newfypoo puppy, you’re probably curious to know how much more your fur baby will grow!
There are two Newfypoo sizes—miniature and standard. Read on to find out how big do Newfypoos get, what impacts the size of a Newfypoo, and when do Newfypoos stop growing!
Mini Newfypoos are the smaller of the two Newfypoo types. The Mini Newfypoo size is a result of breeding the Miniature Poodle and the Newfoundland.
The Mini Poodle stands around 11-14 inches in height and weighs in between 12 and 20 pounds. The Newfoundland is a much larger breed of dog, weighing in between between a whopping 99 and 150 pounds and standing at 25-29 inches in height!

How big do Mini Newfypoos get? On average, the full grown Mini Newfypoo size is between 18-21 inches in height and 35-65 pounds.
If a breeder is selling “Teacup” Newfypoos which will be significantly smaller than the size estimated for a Mini Newfypoo, you should be wary. This could be a scam or it could be the result of irresponsible breeding practices where tiny size is prioritized over the health of the puppies.

Standard Newfypoo Size Full Grown
The Standard Newfypoo is the larger of the two Newfypoo sizes. The Standard Newfypoo size is the result of the mixture of a Standard Poodle and a Newfoundland.
One parent, the Standard Poodle, is anywhere between 18 and 24 inches in height and weighs between 45 and 70 pounds. The other parent, the Newfoundland, is slightly larger and stands between 25 and 29 inches in height and, on average, weighs between 99 and 150 pounds.
How Big Do Standard Newfypoos Get?
How big do Standard Newfypoos get? The full grown Standard Newfypoo size will weigh in between 65 and 120 pounds and stand roughly 22-25 inches in height.

What About Toy Newfypoos?
In general, Newfoundlands are not bred with Toy Poodles, therefore Toy Newfypoos don’t exist.
What Impacts the Size of a Newfypoo?
A lot of aspects impact how large your Newfypoo will be when they’re fully grown! Some of these include their gender, the height and weight of the parents, and which generation of Newfypoo your pup is. The combination of all of these factors make it somewhat difficult to predict exactly how big your dog will be, but it helps us come up with a general estimate!
First, their gender plays a role in answering the question of how big do Newfypoos get. Before getting a puppy, many ask themselves the question, “should I choose a male vs female Newfypoo?”
In most cases, the size of a male Newfypoo will be slightly larger than a female Newfypoo. There isn’t a huge difference, but males are about 10% larger.
In smaller breeds like the Chipoo or the Maltipoo, it may not be as noticeable, but in larger breeds such as the Newfypoo, you could expect a difference of 1-3 inches in height, and around a 10-15 pound difference in weight.
Another important aspect to consider is the size of the parents. The genetics that are passed from the parents to their offspring play a role in how large a Newfypoo will get. It’s more likely than not that if one of the parents was on the smaller side then their offspring may be a little smaller than average as well!
However, genetics are impossible to predict 100%, so this isn’t the most accurate way to predict how big your pup will be when full grown.
Finally, which generation of Newfypoo your dog is will be a big part of how big they will get! A Newfypoo’s “generation” refers to the theoretical genetic makeup of your dog and how close it is to that of a Poodle or a Newfoundland. In simple terms, a Newfypoo puppy that has more Poodle than Newfoundland could be smaller than a Newfypoo that has more Newfoundland than Poodle. This is because, on average, the Poodle is smaller than the Newfoundland.
Of course, this is excluding all other contending criteria that may affect a dog’s size. In simple terms, the higher percentage of the larger dog, the larger the dog is likely to be.
When Do Newfypoos Stop Growing?
Your Newfypoo must seem like they’re never going to stop growing! These puppy days will fly by, so savor them while you can! We’ve answered the question, “how big do Newfypoos get?” But, when do Newfypoos stop growing?
Newfypoos, along with other larger breeds, grow slower over a longer period of time. You can estimate that your Standard Newfypoo will be done growing around 1.5 to 2 years of age, although some may continue growing slightly even a bit after.
Mini Newfypoos often grow more quickly than the Standard Newfypoo size, because in general, smaller dogs tend to grow quicker and reach their full size faster. You can expect at 1 to 1.5 years of age, your Mini Newfypoo will be more or less done growing.
The Mini Poodle is generally done growing between 6 and 7 months of age, although some continue to grow for a maximum of one year. Standard Poodles take closer to 1.5 to 2 years to finish growing.
Newfoundlands are large dogs, and take longer to grow. On average, they take a minimum of 18 months. However, to reach their full weight and muscle mass, it may take them closer to 2-2.5 years to reach their final size.
