Since the Poodle is crossed with just about any breed you can imagine, there are a wide variety of “doodle” sizes, both big and small, to choose from.
We’ve already ranked the largest doodle breeds here, so today, let’s look at the other end of the size spectrum and see which breed earns the recognition of the smallest Poodle mix!
This ranking takes into consideration not just how tiny these dogs can get but also how consistently small they are. We’re also only interested in breeds that stay small, even after they’re a full-grown adult!
To keep things fair, only first-generation Poodle crosses were considered for this list. If you’re not familiar with generations, this means only a direct pairing of a purebred Poodle with another purebred breed.
Otherwise, you could keep crossing any doodle breed back to the toy Poodle to create a smaller multi-generational version—take the Bernedoodle, Goldendoodle, or Labradoodle, for example!
Now that we all know the “rules,” let’s meet the 15 smallest doodle breeds!
#15 Tiniest Doodle Breed: Schnoodle
The Schnauzer Poodle mix can be super tiny. In fact, a toy Schnoodle can weigh as little as 7 pounds!
What keeps this breed from ranking higher on our list is that it can also be very big! Giant Schnoodles can grow to be 80+ pounds and stand up to 25 inches tall.
However, assuming a miniature Schnauzer is paired with a toy Poodle, you can expect an adult Schnoodle to only weigh 7-15 pounds and be 10-12 inches in height.

#14 Smallest Poodle Mix: Cockapoo
A cross between the Cocker Spaniel and the Poodle, the Cockapoo is one of the oldest and most popular Poodle mixes! Not only that…it’s also one of the smallest!
The weight of a Teacup or Toy Cockapoo can range from under 7 pounds to about 15 pounds. Their height at the shoulders will average around 10-11 inches.

#13 Smallest Doodle Breed: Peekapoo
Since the Pekingese parent breed doesn’t grow to be much more than 14 pounds, you can be confident that their puppies will be consistently small when bred with a toy Poodle.
An adult Peekapoo weighs only 8-20 pounds and stands just 8-12 inches tall. They may look deceptively bigger with their fluffy coat, but they are quite tiny dogs!
#12 Tiniest Poodle Mix: Shihpoo
The Shih Tzu and Poodle cross only comes in two sizes—toy and mini. Even the “larger” of the two types only reaches 20 pounds in weight!
Expect a fully-grown toy Shihpoo to weigh 8-15 pounds while measuring 8-10 inches in height.

#11 Tiniest Doodle Breed: Doxiepoo
Everyone knows the Dachshund as an adorably short “wiener dog,” so it’s only natural that the Doxiepoo makes the smallest Poodle mix list!
At 8-15 inches in height, Doxiepoos are taller than the average Dachshund. Despite this, Doxiepoos usually weigh a bit less than their purebred counterparts at only 5-30 pounds.
#10 Smallest Poodle Mix: Havapoo
An average adult Havapoo will usually be a bit larger than a toy Poodle but a bit smaller than a Havanese.
Expect your fully grown Havapoo to be less than 12 inches in height and weigh around 7-15 pounds.

The cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a toy Poodle will usually fall between 7 and 13 pounds while measuring less than 12 inches at the shoulders.

#7 Tiniest Doodle Breed: Poochon
Also known as a Bichpoo, the Poochon is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Poodle. These two parent breeds are both small and hypoallergenic, making for a reliably allergy-friendly cross!
The size of an average Poochon is 5-20 pounds and 9-15 inches tall at the shoulders.

#6 Smallest Poodle Mix: Poo-Ton
If you don’t know what a Poo-Ton is, you’re not alone! This cross between the Coton de Tulear and the Poodle is one of the more obscure doodle breeds.
Poo-Tons, also referred to as Cottonpoos, will stand between 8 and 12 inches while weighing in at just 7-15 pounds.
#5 Smallest Doodle Breed: Pomapoo
Since Pomeranians can weigh as little as just 3 pounds, you can be sure that the Pomapoo will also be quite tiny.
An adult toy Pomapoo will usually weigh between 5-15 pounds and is seldom taller than 9 inches.

#4 Tiniest Poodle Mix: Chipoo
With the average Chihuahua weighing under 6 pounds, it’s no surprise that the Chipoo ranks #4 on our list of smallest Poodle mixes!
Chipoos can often be larger than Chihuahuas, but not by too much. Expect a fully-grown Chipoo to measure 5-15 inches in height and weigh in at 5-20 pounds.
#3 Tiniest Doodle Breed: Papipoo
Another very rare Poodle mix, the Papipoo is the cross between a Papillon and a Poodle.
This tiny hybrid breed weighs only 6-14 pounds on average while standing just 10-11 inches at the shoulders.
#2 Smallest Poodle Mix: Bolonoodle
For those unfamiliar with the parent of the Bolonoodle, the Bolognese dog breed is closely related to the Bichon Frise. While the Bolonoodle is rarer than the Poochon, it’s also a bit smaller.
The size of an adult Bolonoodle is a minuscule 6-12 pounds in weight and 10-12 inches in height.
#1 Smallest Doodle Breed: Yorkiepoo
The moment you’ve all been waiting for…the Yorkiepoo has the distinct recognition of being the smallest Poodle mix!
Yorkiepoos can weigh as little as 6 pounds and stand just 4 inches in height, so it’s easy to see why they take the #1 ranking. One thing is for sure—these pups pack a LOT of love in a TINY package!

While there is no shortage of small, fluffy doodle breeds on this list, there are also plenty of other small Poodle mixes that you may love.
If you’re searching for your next fluffy best friend and a small dog is a top priority, don’t forget to consider a few other options as well as those on our top 15 list…
- Jackapoo (Jack Russell Terrier & Poodle)
- Bossipoo (Boston Terrier & Poodle)
- Westiepoo (West Highland White Terrier & Poodle)
- Pugapoo (Pug & Poodle)
- Lhasapoo (Lhasa Apso & Poodle)
Additionally, don’t forget that some of the most popular doodle breeds have small toy or teacup sizes to choose from. However, there can sometimes be health tradeoffs when breeding tiny versions of traditionally large breeds.
